Food Drive Success!

Yesterday I dropped off over 90 items or 75 pounds of food and personal care items to Broomfield FISH food pantry! Only five people donated, but they were a generous five!

If you missed this even but would still like to donate items, please contact FISH directly - they are always grateful for the assistance. And be sure to mark your calendar for next February! I am hoping that every year we can grow bigger. A big THANK YOU to those who helped me spread the love this year!

Valentine's Day Food Drive

Donations are starting to roll in! Next Friday I will be dropping off non-perishable food and personal items to Broomfield FISH food pantry.

"The mission of Broomfield FISH is to meet our neighbors' basic human needs and provide them with hope and tools to rise out of poverty.  FISH is a non-profit organization that provides food, emergency financial assistance, and one-on-one mentoring support to Broomfield residents in need."

 If you would like to donate items, feel free to drop them at my RE/MAX Elevate office at 724 Main Street in Louisville, or text me to drop it off at my house. I can also pick up your donations in the next week if you are local.

A couple of folks have sent me a donation via Venmo, which I will take to the grocery store to get some of the most desired items on the pantry's list:

• Beef Stew
• Canned meat (tuna, chicken, spam, etc.)
• Canned Fruit
• Cooking oil
• Baking mixes
• Dry pasta
• Cereal
• Personal Care items

Supporting Local Non-Profits

When my clients close a transaction with me, I donate a portion of my commission to a local charity which they get to choose. Below is a list of some of the organizations that my clients have chosen to give to this year:

• American Red Cross – helps disaster recovery, transportation and support for the ill, elderly and service members and their families.

• Autism Society of Colorado – improving the lives of those affected by autism through education and community support. 

• Boulder County AIDS Project – providing education to the community and support to those affected by HIV.

• Boulder Emergency Squad – volunteer rescue professionals providing emergency support services to Boulder County.

• Broomfield FISH – providing poverty assistance to Broomfield residents.

• Childrens' Hospital Colorado – redefining the future of childrens' health.

• Dumb Friends League – providing shelter, care and adoption services for animals. Investigates animal cruelty and supports animal-friendly legislation.

• Longmont Humane Society – caring, serving and educating to improve the lives of companion animals.

• Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence – providing safety and support to victims of domestic violence.

• Toys for Tots – providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas, including collecting toys and raising funds.

I am very fortunate to have the job that I love, and am grateful to be able to give back to the community for all that it has given me. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for making these donations possible!
